Christopher Blümlein at St. Edward`s University in Austin, USA
For all of you, who think about studying abroad … Austin is the place to be! This semester is definitely the most exciting time I have ever had; sometimes it is like being in a movie because everything is so amazing. It is not only because of the good Texan weather, the beautiful campus of St. Edward's University, or Austin's nightlife (Austin is the live-band capital of the world, but you better be 21 or older); it is also not the boundless shopping (sorry, daddy!) that makes these overseas studies so advisable.
Of course, the best part is that you improve your English every day, although a little Texan accent might creep in. And you can color your schedule with courses like scuba diving, or soccer/volleyball. Everywhere there is a possibility to practice some sports, whether it is ping-pong, air hockey, or beach volleyball. In your free time you hang around with all the friends you make (for some reason Germans are very favored in Texas). It is not a rarity when they invite you to visit their families - there is no better possibility to learn about the foreign culture, or travel around Texas.
Regrettable, I am unable to mention all the positive impressions I have; that would go beyond the scope of this little report. However, I have to tell you the following: You won't estimate how much you miss if you do not try to come to St. Edward's University.
