The Family Reading Festival at the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck

Open Day - Admission and readings free of charge!

 

For the Rhine reading festival Käpt'n Book, the museum will be transformed into a stage for exciting stories by well-known authors of books for children and young people. Of course we invite all young and old literature enthusiasts to discover our current exhibitions.

 

Please note that all readings will be in German.

 

11 a.m. - Opening of the children's exhibition for the painting and poetry competition with picture book artist Martin Baltscheit

 

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Open family workshop in the Arp Lab "Puppetry and spoons. Design your own spoon puppet" to accompany the exhibitions Cosmos Arp and Regendering DADA

 

11:15 a.m. Cabaret song show Fritzi Bender "Zwergenlala" (for children aged 4 and over)

 

1 p.m. Live radio play Drei Käse Hoch Produktionen "Hanna in Traumasia" (for children aged 4 and over)

 

2:15 p.m. Reading Christine Schulz-Reiss "Frida Kahlo - the colours of a strong woman" (for children aged 8 and over)

 

3:45 p.m. Reading Kathrin Schrocke "White Tears" (for young people aged 13 and over)

 

In addition to the readings, we also offer movement games supported by the Sportbund Rheinland e. V. on the forecourt of the museum. A crêpe stand on the forecourt will provide refreshments with savoury and sweet treats. Free parking is available and the museum is barrier-free.
