1981 worked for one year at the ceramist J. Lembessis in Sifnos, Greece
 
1982 continued his training at the facility of R. Helfrich in the Westerwald
 
1984 Journeyman�s examination, Work in his own studio "Alte Schmiede� in Tönisvorst
 
1985 Began study at the Universität Kassel GhK, Faculty Free Art, Focus Ceramics at Prof. Ralf Busz
 
1986 Educational journey to Korea
 
1988 Technical Assistant at Prof. Proud, Harrogate, College of Arts and Technology in England


 
1990 Diploma in Kassel, worked for nine months for the GTZ (Gesellschaft für technische Zusammenarbeit) in Nepal, Research trip to Thailand, Guest lecture at the Chiang Mai University
 
since 1991 worked as freelance artist in Usingen, Exhibitions at home and abroad, Investigation of early history pottery techniques in Europe and Middle East, Lectureships at different schools, universities, various publications
 
since 2002 Professor at the Institute of Ceramic and Glass Arts in Höhr-Grenzhausen
