Advice Association KOSINUS (Koblenzer Studierende International - Netzwerk und Service)
The following organisations of the universities in Koblenz are involved in KOSINUS and take care ofinternational students: the International Offices, AStA, Studierendenwerk, KHG and ESG.
The Advice Association aims to create conditions together with the foreign students, which make successful studying easier. One important aim is to promote the coordination and co-operation between the different organisations regarding the already existing offers for foreign students. AStA (Allgemeiner Studenten Ausschuss) - Student Union
The AStA is the executive voice of the student body and it represents the interests of the students. The AStA is regulated and controlled by the student parliament (StuPa) whose members are elected once a year. The AStA is also politically active and meets with politicians as well as with lecturers to discuss students interests. Apart from that, the AStA is responsible for organising numerous discussions, seminars and parties, and also offers various other services. For example you can buy stationery material, telephone cards or use the cheap photocopying and binding services. There are also newspapers available such as:

Opening hours:
Mo - Friday 09:30 am - 15:00 pm during the semester.
As part of the AStA service, there is a foreign students representative to help with any specific problems. The other members of the AStA are also there to provide advice.

Both ESG and KHG offer regular events such as concerts, movie evenings, discussions and lectures. Within both organisations there is the opportunity for international students to find help and advice.
You do not have to be member of a certain religion to consult either the ESG or the KHG - everybody is welcome!
