Social contribution for registration as a student
Each semester you have to pay a social contribution, which is now 101,20 Euro for Campus Koblenz, 61,75 Euro for Campus Hhr - Grenzhausen and 175,70 Euro for Campus Remagen. This is, however, not a study fee, but is a contribution to have cheaper meals in the Mensa, free public transport within a certain area (different for each campus, hence the price difference) and for the students union (AStA).
Transport
By registering as a student you receive a student ID card which also entitles you to free public transport within your Campus (KEVAG, RMV-bus companies) during the semester. (1. September - 28. February or 1. March - 31. August). You get information about the exact scope at the KEVAG Kundenstelle at the Lhrcenter.
