Born 1961. Studied English and Romance languages, literatures and pedagogy at the University of Münster. Studied abroad at the University of Sussex in Brighton (GB) (1982/83) and the Université de Lille III in Lille (F) (1985/86). Teaching and research assistant in the Faculties of Pedagogy and Law and in the library of the Department of English. State examinations for the teaching credential in 1989 in English, Romance languages and pedagogy. Lecturer in the Faculty of Law, Department of Criminology, and adjunct instructor at the Language Teaching Center at the University of Münster. Doctorate completed in February 1994 with a dissertation entitled "The Problematic Whole: Postmodern Elements in Lawrence Durrell's Alexandria Quartet". From 1992-1999 head of language section in the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences at the FH Fulda. Since 1995 practical work in open and distance learning using the newest information technologies in foreign language and intercultural teaching. Since 1999 head of the Languages and International Affairs at RheinAhrCampus, University of Applied Sciences Koblenz From 2001-2002 detached as Head of SOCRATES Transnational Cooperation Projects, TAO, Brussels |
