Our Trip to Dublin The German members met with feelings of excitement on the train from Koblenz to Duesseldorf. From the trainstation we took the next Shuttle via Duesseldorf Airport. After arriving at the airport, we went to the check-in without having any stop-over at McDonalds. Due to Amelies excellent work, we were able to check-in as a first group before all the other passengers. After having an extensive meeting at the airport security check-point, we boarded the plane on time. The flight was wonderful and before the approach to land, we had the opportunity to enjoy the awesome lights of Dublin during the night. The arrival was filled with emotions because of the first meeting of all students from the other countries. Jan Pelloth (German Group)

Our arrival at Kinley House Hostel Soft wind blowing our hair welcomed us in Dublin. A double-decker brought us to the city centre where we had the task to find Kinley House Hostel. Our group, the Lithuanian group, was the first to arrive. We were given some time, so we could explore the hostel's surroundings. It was a Friday evening, thus Dublin was really alive and we saw a lot of people in the pubs singing karaoke and enjoying their pints of 'Guinness'. After having a good meal in an Italian restaurant, we came back to the hostel and we arranged the green T-shirts, we prepared for all participants. The last groups arrived late in the evening and we gathered together in the common room. Our social and language diversity manager, Ugnius, decided that it would be easier to get to know each other while playing a game in which you say your name and make some kind of gesture. Your neighbour has to repeat it and say his name and make another gestures and so on. This meant that for those who were standing in the end it was a real challenge to get all names and gestures right. Reka got a big applause, because there were about forty people and she remembered all the names! I am still smiling when I remember Valeria's dance moves which were unrepeatable! Maybe that's why Adam's gesture was shooting himself. After Laurence had announced the next days schedule, we all went to get our luggage into our rooms. That was a heavy task for our gentlemen because our hostel had four floors and the girls' luggage was really heavy! Since we are typical students we went to the city to search for some opened discos. Unfortunately, we haven't found any, so we all went to sleep. I guess everyone fell asleep in a second, because of all the awesome experiences we had that day, which has gone through like a flash. Justina Maria Barauskaité (Lithuanian Group) |
