This programme, which was started in 1992, is being carried out in cooperation with the World University Service ( WUS ) on behalf of the German Central Job Agency ( ZAV ) and it`s funded by the German ministry for economical development and cooperation. This programme addresses women from underdeveloped countries, living on their own, with little or low income, who have been living in Germany for at least 1 year and who wish to return to their home countries.
To enable those women to live an independent life in pride and self-esteem back home, SOLWODI establishes for those women contacts to organizations in their home countries, organizations that grant scholarships for further education, or credits to start a job as an employee or independently.
