Pay attention for a moment!

Under that motto SOLWODI invited visitors of the Catholics` Meeting in Osnabrück to keep their eyes open for the distress of other people.

Under the motto: "Pay attention for a moment ! - Your view for the distress of others", we invited visitors of the 97th Catholics` Meeting in Osnabrück to demonstrate their solidarity with victims of brute force or exploitation by being prepared to have a picture taken of their eyes.

Around 1000 women, men and children, who were asked by our colleges in their orange coloured safety vests, were willing to have a picture taken of their eyes. By doing so, we got in touch with many visitors and so we could tell them of the needs and problems of our clients.

In a sunny Osnabrück, where it normally rains a lot, the Catholics` Meeting was really an event, where one talked about people, that normally live at the fringe of our society with nobody taking notice of their needs.

At our info-stand, located between the castle and the townhall, there was a lot of activity. Some women and men came even twice to us, to have a look at the cases, which were displayed at the walls of our tent.
