What makes our new WHU Master of Science program Master in Business Analytics so special? Our highly relevant program focuses on the areas of data analytics, business fundamentals, and leadership. There is high demand for graduates with competencies in these three core areas. WHU offers you the unique opportunity to combine a broad business background with solid and specialized knowledge of business analytics, data science and digital transformation.
The core electives impart essential elements and fundamentals for a comprehensive understanding of management as well as analytical methods and tools. The electives and concentrations enable you to focus on certain areas that you will need in your future role as an analytics translator. Choose one of the three concentrations in Entrepreneurial Analytics, Marketing Analytics and Supply Chain Analytics or feel free to combine electives in order to design your individual program according to your own interests and career aspirations.

One week, May
The capstone is a one-week module abroad where students attend tailor-made lectures and visit local companies to experience international business ecosystems.
You will gain valuable work experience and the opportunity to apply theory learned in class through an internship in Germany or abroad. The Career Center supports you in finding an internship position via a broad range of activities such as individual career counseling, workshops, and company presentations.
September – January (90 ECTS), January – May (120 ECTS)
The Master thesis concludes your studies, providing you the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge you have gained throughout the course of the Master Program. While writing your thesis, you will be supervised by a WHU faculty member. You may also write your thesis in collaboration with a company.
September - December
The Master in Business Analytics Program also includes an optional semester abroad at one of WHU's 200 partner universities worldwide. During the semester abroad, you will gain a global perspective and immerse yourself in another culture.
Every international student is invited, and encouraged, to take part in a German course. German courses can be taken for credits or just for the fun of it – something that only applies to the German courses.
German at WHU:
- All of our German courses focus on the interactive, communicative aspects of learning a language. And as well as vocabulary and grammar you also learn a lot about everyday life, the culture and history of Germany. In the more advanced courses we also cover topical issues from politics and business.
- WHU offers German courses at all levels in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages): from absolute beginners A1.1 to intermediate level B1 and advanced C1.
- Every participant can receive a certificate of participation at the end of the course.

Optional Double Degree
After two additional semesters at our partner university, our students earn a full second degree (either an MBA or a Master of Science) in addition to a Master of Science degree from WHU.
