The respective university/college is responsible for the pre certification of university/college certificates. Certificates from chambers (HWK, IHK, etc.) are certified by the respective chamber.
This depends on who made the copy. If the copy was issued by the school, university or respective chamber, it must be pre authenticated.
However, if the copy is issued by a citizen's office, no pre authe ntication is usually required.
However, it is advisable to always have a certificate copied and officially authenticated by the issuing school. Otherwise, there is a risk that the copy will not be recognised abroad or that the Federal Administrative Of fice will issue a restrictive note.
If you do not wish to present your original certificate abroad, you can apply for a duplicate by the authority that originally issued the certificate. As a rule, duplicates like the original certificates must first be pre authenticated. After pre authentication, duplicates can be provided by us with an apostille/legalisation.

Certificates of good conduct are fed eral documents. The Federal Office of Administration in Cologne is responsible for federal documents, i.e. documents

info(at)dpma.de. When applying for a certificate of good conduct at the local governmen t, an application can also be made to have the certificate of good conduct provided with an

However, identity cards and passports can be officially certified. These official certifications can be provided by us with an apostill e/legalization. For an official certification of the identity card or passport, please contact the municipal administration that issued the documents.
Yes, we can provide all documents with an apostille/legalisation issued by a Rhineland Palatinate registry office. These documents may not contain any
earmarking (e.g. only for the application of child benefit).

Depending on the number of applications received, it may take several days from the time your application is received until your documents are delivered. As a rule, however, no longer than three weeks.

I n the federal states, there is no uniform regulation of responsibility. Therefore, in specific cases, it is recommended to ask the issuer of the document by whom the apostille/legalisation can be granted.
