Tour of the Cathedral

Its founders were the Salian emperors who had it built in the 11th century as the largest church in the then known world to serve as a recognition of their responsibility for all of Christianity. Today it is an outstanding example of Romanesque architecture and it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
