In 2001, the art league, city art gallery, and Winkel print shop found a modern and attractive home with 7,500 sq ft of exhibition space at the Culture Terrace in Flachs Lane. A shopping arcade connects Label "Accessibility certified"Maximilian Street and the Culture Terrace in Flachs Lane to Little Parson’s Lane (German: Pfaffengasse) and the Jewish bath.

Entrance of the Kulturhof Flachsgasse, © Klaus VenusThe spacious glassed-in main foyer with its glass elevator, the open gallery, and the smaller foyer upstairs are being used by the art league and the city collaboratively. The city gallery presents the artistic works of the city and works together closely with the art league to put on about 20 joint exhibitions annually.

The Culture Terrace can be utilised in many different ways--for example, by the "Alter Stadtsaal" cabaret and for the cultural projects in the historic council hall.

The offerings here are further enhanced by the Winkel print shop. This has at its disposal a Heidelberg jobbing press, a Korrex Stuttgart press, and a well-equipped composing room (from the former Lindacher print shop). It is dedicated to artistic hand pressure printing and experimental typography. The head of the print shop is Artur Schütt. All year long, guest printers are invited for brief stays.
