Fritz Walter Stadium (Betzenberg), Kaiserslautern
The Fritz Walter Stadium was built in 1920 under the name of "Sportpark Betzenberg". It is the stadium with the longest tradition among the World Cup stadiums.
In 1985, for the 65th birthday of Fritz Walter, the German honorary team captain, it was renamed Fritz Walter Stadium. Its most recent expansion, after numerous previous remodelings, came in preparation for the 2006 World Cup. The stadium, towering imposingly above the city, now holds 48,000 spectators.

Golf course Mackenbach
The golf course is located 20 km northwest of the center of Kaiserslautern and covers an area of about 120 ha (300 acres) at an elevation of 300 m above sea-level. The slightly hilly course with an altitude difference of approx. 50 m offers a spectacular view of the foothills of the Palatinate Forest and the Sickingen Heights.
The par 73 course has a length of 5,998 m (ladies' 5,210 m) and is divided by a stream and wetland. The ample sculptured greens that average 800 sqm in size are partly situated in old tree stands and are defended by bunkers, hills integrated into the landscape, and water obstacles.
