The study programme
Growing cities along with increasing demand for water and traffic require new approaches to civil engineering. Sustainable concepts for the environment, water and infrastructure that contribute to climate protection and climate adaptation are needed. The Bachelor's degree programme "Environmental, Water and Infrastructure Management" – EWIM in short – features innovative study content such as sustainable mobility concepts and intelligent traffic control, water protection, flood and heavy rain prevention and water supply and disposal.
Study programme objective
Graduates are sought-after experts who have learned to combine technical and economic requirements with ecological and social aspects and to prevent conflicts through communication and participation. After successfully completing the programme, students are awarded with the internationally recognised academic degree "Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)". Interested graduates can then decide to enrol in a suitable Master's degree programme.

EWIM engineers can work for engineering firms, public authorities and construction companies as well as in environmental or research institutions. They are in demand worldwide as civil engineers and environmental experts. They can work in the areas of
