Located in the heart of the town of Bad Dürkheim, the Fitz-Ritter estate includes both the renowned VDP winery and the oldest Sekt (sparkling wine) production in the Pfalz.
The extensive grounds with the neo-classical estate house, historical gardens and the “RebArena” event location, lie surrounded by vineyards.
The wines are a reflection of their distinctive origin . All 62 acres (25 hektar) of vineyards are farmed organically (EU-certified: DE-ÖKO-039) to ensure sustainability and natural purity. This includes famous vineyard names such as the Michelsberg, Herrenberg, Spielberg and the Monopole vineyard Abtsfronhof.
Johann Fitz has been managing all aspects of the winery since 2007. The winery‘s deeply-rooted tradition has played a role in all of his decision-making while cultivating modern oenological methods and innovations.
The remodeling of the historic cross vaulted barn with an addion of a modern garden room for classy events was completed in 2008. In 2013 the tasting rooms were redesigned and connected to the historic wine cellars and the estate garden to offer a unique experience for visitors.
The winery offers its rooms and garden for rent for your event.
Tours and wine tastings are offered for groups by appointment.
