The spring that has been called "Frauendrees" by the population for centuries rises at the edge of the town of Daun. Today it bears the name "Dunaris Quelle" and enriches the health resort park of Daun. It is a tasty and slightly ferruginous spring with its high sodium-magnesium-hydrogen carbonate content and is one of the most healing and strongest alkaline acidulous springs in Germany. At around 11°C, the healing water flows out of the tap to refresh you.
Science agrees: with a change in diet and the additional drinking of this healing water, a magnesium deficiency and thus the cause of a variety of diseases can be counteracted. Start a drinking cure during your stay.
There is a Kneipp facility right next to the tap, so hikers can both quench their thirst and revitalise their bodies.
