International opportunities for RAC lecturers

A number of RAC lecturers have participated in teaching staff exchange. It is possible to contact them to find out more about their experience.
Teaching staff mobility - financial support
Funding for TSM is available from a variety of institutions. Among these the most important ones are:
1. ERASMUS LLP
Some basic information about funding for teaching staff visits to European partner universities is available at our ERASMUS LLP website.

2. DAAD funding
Short-term teaching staff mobility schemes (4 weeks to 6 months)
- In order to qualify for this scheme, lecturers should offer activities which:
are offered to students as compact courses, block seminars, or special modules at the receiving institution
are offered in conjunction with other DAAD programmes or with those of other academic foundations.
- On application, lecturers must have an invitation issued by the receiving institution. They must teach for a minimum of eight hours per week during their stay abroad.
- Funding: Travel and living expenses as far as these are not covered by the receiving institution.
- Deadline: lecturers can apply any time, however, the application should be received about two months before the meetings of the committees which are held five times a year.
Teaching staff mobility of long duration (6 months to 5 years)
- The lecturer has to represent his subject area in research and teaching.
- Candidates must be EU nationals and have a good command of the language of tuition used at the partner institution.
- Successful applicants are sponsored in the following way:
salary according to the usual regional conventions
monthly compensation fee
contribution towards the costs of resettlement
contribution to school expenses
contribution to pension schemes
- Deadline: lecturers can apply any time, however, the application should be received about two months before the meetings of the committees which are held five times a year.
